Welcome!!
Hello and welcome to our home page on the World Wide Web!! We are Ray and the Sentimentals, and we have played every wedding in this family for forty years (give or take). Receptions and rehearsal dinners, and more first dances than Ray can count.
This season we are playing our LAST WEDDING. Thank you to everybody who ever got up and danced!!!

Meet the Band
- RAY (that’s me!!): Bandleader and emcee. I sing the standards and the country numbers.
- RAINEY: Keyboard
- DENNY: Drums
- PLUS the players, and a long line of hired singers over the years. Thank you to all of them!!
What We Play
Anything that gets people out of their chairs!! Here is a little of what is in the book:
- The slow one everybody’s parents danced to
- The fast one that gets the aunts up
- A standard for the grandparents
- A country waltz for the uncles
- A sixties number your mother can still do the steps to
- A disco number from the seventies
- A first-dance ballad from the eighties
- The line dance your cousin made everyone learn
